As the team lead by the charismatic and Ballon d'or winner Christiano Ronaldo was trying to get back into the game Mats Hummels header in the 32nd minute killed the aspirations of the A Selecção supporters. After the second goal the German looked more and more aggressive and some disastrous high tempers made it even worst for the team in red.

These images looked even more surprising and heart braking if you were supporting Portugal. Pepe one of the most capped and senior players of the team headbutting Muller for reasons best known to him. When Pepe was shown the red card it left only one question unanswered, " How many goals will Germany score".
To the delight Die Adler fans, Thomas Muller not just blocked an attempt from Bruno Alves to clear the ball but converted it into the third goal on the half way mark. It was done and dusted for Ronaldo and his mates but to there horror they had to still play the second half.
The second half started with German dominance but some stern defending kept the German tanks from invading the goal line. With a few chances created here and there the Portuguese side was showing some shades of the team they are until calamity struck and Rui Patrício spilled the ball in front of Thomas Muller who was not gonna miss a close range hat-trick.
With the first Hat-Trick of the FIFA World Cup 2014 the German camp is off to there customary quick start on the other hand the Portugal team need to sort things out and perform to their potential to make any impact on this world cup.
