Finally Rooney scores BUT, SAUREZ SCORES TWICE

In a must win encounter for both Uruguay and England the stakes were already high. Luis Saurez's comeback after a knee operation and Wayne Rooney's goal drought was the focal point of the build up. And to be frank neither disappointed their fans. The Manchester United striker was short on luck when his free kick went inches past the goal and then his header on the far post was blocked by the crossbar before he equalized for England. On the other hand the Liverpool talisman had one of the best comebacks possible.

At the 39th minute when Saurez headed a perfectly measured ball from Edison Cavani into Joe Hart's net, he made it clear that why he was the highest goal scorer in the Premiere League. In a balanced looking match he shifted the pendulum towards Uruguay with a his outstanding finish. The three lions needed to roar and roar they did.

Who else than Wayne Rooney equalized for England in the 75th minute. The relief of scoring in the world cup finals and that to such an important goal was visible on his face. But just as the match was looking to end up in a draw the ultimate drama happened.

When Luis Saurez thundered the ball past the English goal line in the 85th minute, it was as if all the Liverpool citizen wanted was to kill the man.

This match has reduced England's chances of staying in the competition to nil. Unlike Spain's exit the English lion fought a hard battle but Uruguay had one lion too many for their opponent.
