Netherlands thunder, Casillas's Blunder sends Spain down under

Soccer-Robben Goes past Casillas
The Image says it all. This is what happened in one of the most awaited matches of the world cup, the Oranje just walked past the Spanish defense and as for the defending Champs, they did take it lying down. It was a result no body expected more than that it was a the performance from the Spaniards that was unimaginable. When the match started with the usual possession with the world number one many thought it will be a repeat of the world cup final if not better. With the penalty decision going in favor of Diego Costa gave opportunity for Xabi Alonso to put his team in the driving seat and he did not disappoint with a cool finish. After the goal the match was going on its pace until Netherlands found the equalizer.
Soccer- Van Persie flies to score the equalizer
The equalizer was not just a goal that brought the last times world cup runners up back in the game but the goal inspired the Oranje to record a scoreline that was not even imagined by even the Holland supporters. Robin Van Persie just showed why he is called the 'Flying Dutchman' literally. After that goal scored just around half time everybody was eager to see Spain's reply. But for all that anticipation and excitement, Arjen Robben's perfect technique in the final third just left the Spanish defense stunned. Robben collected an amazing pass on the run inside the box and the controlled the ball to beat Gerard Pique' and Iker Casillas to to give his team the lead.

Soccer- Robin Van Persie scores after being gifted by the ball by Casillas
Stefan de Vrij's header dented any hope of a Spanish revival and from that moment on Netherlands looked completely in control of the game and when the Spanish number 1 , the heart and soul of the team gifted the ball to Van Persie in a horrific attempt to clear it, that summed up the game for the number one ranked team in the world. And like a cherry on the top Arjen Robben's bursting run demolished the Spanish side with a score line that read 1-5

In the Mecca of Soccer or Football whatever you want to call it this match will be be remembered for Van Persie's full body flight, Casillas's blunder, Robben's thunderous run but what every Netherlands Fan would remember this match for is the "Revenge".
